Westford Table Tennis Club is a program of AC Arlington, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. AC Arlington runs the club's memberships, drop in sessions, open play, League Night and coaching. The club's tournaments, and this website, are operated by Qumtak LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company. In these terms, "the club" means AC Arlington and "Qumtak" means Qumtak LLC.
These terms cover your use of westfordtabletennis.com and everything you sign up for or pay for through it. By using the site or booking with the club or Qumtak, you agree to them. How information is handled is explained in our Privacy Policy.
- You join in person at the club, so you cancel in person at the club.
- Memberships are billed monthly.
- Visit the club even once in a month and that month's fee is charged in full.
- Drop in sessions are non-refundable once paid.
- Tournament entries follow each event's entry form.
Memberships and drop in sessions
These are an agreement between you and the club (AC Arlington).
- Prices are shown on the site and charged by Square at checkout. If the two ever differ, the price at checkout applies, and we will fix the site.
- A membership is for the person or family it was bought for and cannot be shared or transferred.
- Open play times can change for holidays, tournaments or facility needs. We post changes on the site and on Instagram where we can.
- Please follow staff instructions and the club's rules at the venue, look after the tables and equipment, and treat everyone with respect. The club may refuse or end access for anyone who puts others at risk or behaves abusively, without a refund.
Cancellations and refunds
Memberships are set up in person at the club; the website is only used to complete the payment. Memberships are billed monthly. Because you join in person, to cancel your membership or to request a refund you must also come to the club in person and tell a staff member. Cancellations and refund requests are not accepted by email, phone, text or message.
When you cancel, the club checks its attendance records for the current month:
- No visits this month: that month's fee is refunded and your membership ends.
- One or more visits this month: the full fee for that month is charged for your use of the club and its services, no refund is given for that month, and your membership ends at the end of the month.
For a Family membership, a visit by any family member counts as a visit. Drop in sessions are non-refundable once paid. If the club cancels a session, you will be offered a refund or a credit.
Lessons
- Lessons are given by the club's coaches and are an agreement between you and the club.
- Sending a lesson request does not book a lesson. A lesson is booked once a coach confirms a time with you.
- If you cannot make a confirmed lesson, please let your coach know as early as possible so the time can be offered to someone else.
League Night
League Night is run by the club and follows the format and points system posted on the League page. Standings and results, including players' names, are published on the site.
Tournaments
Tournaments are organized by Qumtak LLC. Entry fees, deadlines, refunds and rules are set out on each event's entry form and on Omnipong, and USA Table Tennis rules and membership requirements apply to sanctioned events. Results, including players' names, are published on the site.
Photos
Sessions and events may be photographed or filmed, and photos may appear on the site and on social media. If you would rather not appear, tell a staff member on the day, or email WTTC@qmtk.org and we will take down a photo of you.
Juniors
Players under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign them up, pay, and agree to these terms for them. The club is not a childcare service: parents and guardians remain responsible for juniors outside their scheduled session or lesson.
Health and safety
Table tennis is a physical sport, and like any sport it carries some risk of injury. You take part at your own risk and should only play if you are fit to do so. Please tell your coach about any condition that could affect you while playing. To the extent the law allows, neither the club nor Qumtak is responsible for injury, or for loss of or damage to personal property at the venue, except where caused by its own negligence.
Using the website
- The text, logos, photos and design on the site belong to the club or Qumtak, or are used with permission. Please do not copy them for commercial use without asking.
- Do not misuse the site or its forms, for example by sending spam or trying to break or overload it.
- We work to keep schedules, prices and results accurate, but the site is provided "as is" and may sometimes contain mistakes. Links to other sites are for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
Liability
AC Arlington and Qumtak LLC are separate organizations, and each is responsible only for the activities it runs. To the extent the law allows, each one's total liability to you for anything arising from its services is limited to the amount you paid it for the service in question. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Massachusetts consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version, and it applies from the day it is posted.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
